The Malala Fund: supports girls’ secondary education projects around the world. Created to Help every girl learn and lead without fear.
As our kids all head off to their first day of school each September, we all take our photos at the doorstep and wish them well in the hopes that they make great friends and have lasting memories of these formative years, absorbing all that the school system offers on their growth journey. What is clear to me is our children have a privileged situation in this world where education is a given.
Yet no matter the petty issues we may complain about or disagree on, the truth is our kids are not denied a good education. That is not the case in some countries where many are denied some basic rights like education. Do you know the story of Malala? There once was a girl who wanted to go to school. But some people around her did not want her to learn.
They feared education would give her power. Those people had a meeting and decided to assassinate her. On October 9, 2012, they walked onto her school bus, asked for her by name and shot her in the head.
Her name is Malala Yousafzai.
But even their bullets couldn’t silence her.
The Malala Fund was created to Help every girl learn and lead without fear. A gift to Malala Fund supports girls’ secondary education projects around the world.
I strongly believe that education is a basic human right and girls should never be considered less than equal to the male counterpart. I support this Fund to Ensure education for girls in underprivileged areas continue to get the support they need..
I started to support the Malala Fund when Covid hit and I struggled throughout the home schooling moments which put all my strengths and weaknesses to the test and I had all the tools handed to me on a silver platter.. It was an eye opener to the real struggles that exist in other parts of the world.
If you feel the same way please donate!! just even 1$ if that is what you can to show your support.
This is a chance to do something meaningful to help millions of women and girls around the world who are denied an education and the opportunity to chase their dreams.
You can go Donate through the Malala Fund Directly.
Giving to this FUND DOES NOT HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE. Please give whenever you feel inspired to support.
